THE BOAT WITH NO NAME is a community film from North-East Arnhem Land, a comedy made by Indigenous and non-Indigenous people for next to no money.
A small community who has lost their school teacher due to government cutbacks gains a boat thanks to an inheritance, and sets about making some money “to buy a teacher”. The film is both full of quirky Aussie humour and full of beauty and sweetness.
Q&A with actor (and one of the stars of the film), Cairns local Rob Stewart.
PARENTS: this film is rated M so please use parental discretion – children’s tickets under 18 are free when accompanied by an adult.
