Sanctuary Retreat

Sanctuary Retreat is set on 50 acres of lush tropical rainforest overlooking the Coral Sea.

Located within a Conservation Nature Refuge, with a creek that meanders down the mountain through littoral rainforest, it provides safe haven for over six endangered species including the Southern Cassowary.

Sanctuary is an Eco accredited retreat catering for travelers of all kinds to experience the rainforest. We offer accommodation in huts, cabins and villas under the canopy of the jungle.

Our famous Long House is an incredible place to relax with stunning views overlooking the rainforest and ocean; it features a restaurant, bar, lounge area and expansive decks. There are forest walks across the property and a track that leads down to secluded Brookes Beach.

Sanctuary also specialises in group wellness experiences of all kinds including yoga and healing retreats, regenerative business workshops and reconnection back to nature immersions.

Sanctuary offers day trips out to the reef on Ocean Guardian Explorer, a 19m catamaran newly refitted with simple luxuries that operates as a social enterprise focusing on reef conservation and indigenous community-led sea country programs.
